BPS does not treat BCGP recertification as a single pile of CE units. The per-track floors BPS publishes are 50 geriatric-specific units along with 30 general-pharmacy CE units on the specialty track, plus 20 dedicated CPD units tracked independently. Recertification Deadlines

The recertification cycle is fixed at 7 years — your cycle ends the same month it began. BPS treats the date as a hard line on the calendar, not a calendar-quarter cushion, so building slack into your CE plan is the difference between sailing through and paying a late fee.
When does the BCGP cycle reset?
Your cycle begins on the month your BCGP credential is issued and runs for seven full years. On the day the cycle ends, your previous credential expires and you must be either re-credentialed (CE path) or re-certified (exam path) before you can use the BCGP credential again. The CE-path renewal submits 60–90 days ahead of that expiration.
